Attending a Yoga Class
What to wear:
Loose comfortable clothing to allow you to move freely. No shoes, as yoga is practised in bare feet.
What to bring:
A mat and small towel. Mats are available for purchase.
Yoga should be practised on an empty stomach. Eat lightly and allow 2 hours after a snack. Eat a banana if you feel very hungry or have not had time to eat. Bananas are high in potassium, easily digested and a good source of energy. Drink sufficient water before a class, as it is not wise to drink during a class.
You will be asked to complete a health declaration form on registration.
It is essential that the following medical conditions be reported at registration:
Heart disease or any heart problem
Epilepsy including Petit Mal
Cancer or benign tumours
Diabetes
Meniere’s disease
